As Drew told me about the death of another member of the church I was left with the thought that whatever God's got planned then He must need some strong people to carry it out.
Bob Findlay, a resoundingly happy and cherished character at church, passed away a couple of years ago so my mood has been a somber one.
I'll always remember his booming singing voice and the way he 'conducted' when leading worship. He was always a cheerful gentleman and battled cancer, as did Neil, for quite a grueling period.
I need to be less selfish and let God lead the way. All I know though is that Selkirk St is being dramatically tested. And maybe through that I am too.
Thanks for your support through this.
But I would hope that my friend Drew Thomson would be on your mid more than I. Drew is going through a terribly worrying time awaiting to go to hospital to see what is wrong with his throat after being gruff for months.
After two very strong members of the church recently dying from cancer, you can imagine what's going through his mind. Please pray that he will be healed no matter what this is.
I do not know if I could cope if I lost Drew.
Many thanks again.
